The Metfloor 80 steel decking is a traditional trapezoidal composite floor deck similar to the Metfloor 60. The Metfloor 80 is ideal for projects with larger spans between the steel/masonry supports as it can achieve spans of 5m without the requirement for temporary propping.
Advantages of using the Metfloor 80 steel decking:-
Spanning Capabilities – The smarter profile design of the Metfloor 80 steel decking delivers exceptional unpropped spanning capabilities of up to 5m. This helps to reduce costs of the structural steel or masonry components. This capability makes Metfloor 80 the profile of choice for the longest span projects.
Impressive construction benefits
The Metfloor 80 profile is ideal for multi rise construction & mezzanine floors (indeed most steel framed buildings) due to its speed of installation; the reduced carriage requirements; reduced structure, weight & height, and by providing a working platform during construction
Safer Manual Handling
With a standardised cover width of just 600mm, the sheets are lightweight and can be handled safely without compromising the speed of construction.
More Environmentally Sustainable
Due to the ribbed design of the profile, there is less concrete volume required whatever the height of the slab depth. This in turn makes the Metfloor 80 not only cost efficient but also more environmentally friendly without compromising the structural integrity.
Excellent Acoustic & Fire Performance.
Metfloor profiles have exceptional fire protection and acoustic performance. End crush enhances this exceptional performance even further without the need for filler blocks, and simplifies installation.
Availability – Unlike other steel decking manufacturers steel decking profiles, the Metfloor 80 steel decking is readily available from our Midlands based stockyards in 0.9mm and 1.2mm thickness’s and can be cut to projects and delivered next day to sites nationwide.
Equivalents of the Metfloor 80 steel decking – RLSD Rib deck 80 Steel Decking, Kingspan MD80 steel decking and the Comflor 80 steel decking.
